Our core values

Respect and togetherness

Tervuren Unie is the list that reflects the current diversity of the communal population. Its aim is to reproduce, at a political level, the natural and spontaneous ‘living together’ that characterises relations between citizens, in a spirit of mutual respect, particularly with regard to the usual languages of communication. The commune of Tervuren is located in the Flemish Region, and Dutch is the language used for administrative purposes. Outside this framework, Tervuren Unie defends the freedom and possibility for everyone to live and develop socially in their own culture and language. Tervuren Unie defends equal treatment for cultural, social and sporting associations and youth movements, as well as in terms of social policy, access to housing, childcare, etc.
